    Meeting 5th April 2011

Our meeting was well represented and we were fortunate to have 4 visitors, of which some may become members shortly!

    These were:-

    John Moyce from Osprey Marketing

Gordon Adams from Western Counties Assurance

Ian Maculloch from Signs & Graphics

Paul Eyres from Paul Eyres cleaning Services.

Our guest speaker was Scott Emery from WessexFM. Although he was fairly new to the company he gave us an insight to the ethos and enthusiasm that WessexFM portrays. Not only did he give a talk but he was also kind enough to give away some WessexFM mugs!

This meeting was like Christmas! not only were we given mugs by WessexFM; but also lovely pens from Leigh from Kitchen Style of Dorchester who celebrates his 10th anniversary this year. Congratulations Leigh.

Look forward to seeing you all at the next meeting which is AT KITCHEN STYLE SHOW ROOM 19th April 2011 Please email Leigh your confirmation of attendance so that he is able to cater for us.

Apologies to all members and friends, whilst we update our website.

Please note that our next meeting on Tuesday 6 March, will not be held at the usual venue, as Rose and Lee, of Poundbury Beauty and Holistic Health, have invited us to visit their business for light refreshments and to sample some of their wares, so victims to the fore! They are based at 27 Great Cranford Street, Poundbury, Dorchester DT1 3SQ. Please advise them of your expected attendance in order that they can cater for us. Their telephone number is 01305 753510

SUMMARY OF LAST MEETING - 21-2-12

John, of Osprey Marketing kindly chaired the meeting and welcomed a visitor, Roger Clarke-Williams, a local picture framing expert, who used to own a business based in what is now our meeting venue. The business was called 'Chest of Drawers'.

Another guest was Angela Hartle of Project Linus UK, who make and sell kits to make quilts, which, after being lovingly made are then given to many worthwhile causes, including hospices, children's homes, etc. Angie presented Angela with a cheque for £400, a donation from our members towards this charity. Angie volunteered to make as many quilts as other members were prepared to buy, so she'll now be even busier!

Our members also agreed to make a donation of £150 to another charitable cause - Rushton Dog Rescue on 01305 773671, whose representative talked to us about her venture, at a previous meeting.

It was further announced that our group has so far this year, done business amounting to about £5k, proving the value of membership.
